We will continue to provide regular updates on any policy changes at GrandeVille and of course, provide updates on our residents health and happiness.

Attention Residents and Visitors


Per NYSDOH (New York State Department of Health), there are currently no resident restrictions for leaving the building to go on outings, social activities and family gatherings, etc.*


However, please follow all COVID-19 precautions while out of the building- such as wearing face coverings, social distancing and practicing good hand hygiene. 


Upon returning to the facility, a resident health screening will be completed at the reception desk.


Additionally, if it is discovered that the resident was exposed to a Covid-19 positive individual while out of the building, it must be reported to Tina Brown, Jeanine McKay or MaryEllen Wichman immediately at 585-621-6160.

Visitation Rules

Dear Resident Representative, GrandeVille is happy to accept visitors at our community starting Thursday, July 16, 2020. Per NYS Department of Health several guidelines are required. Please read the visitation rules below:
  • Visitors will enter at the Main Entrance ONLY and complete the necessary health screening, sanitize hands, and wear face covering before admittance into the building. All visitors under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
  • Visitors visiting in resident rooms must go directly to and from the room. They are not permitted to walk in other areas.
  • Residents and visitors must always have masks on and maintain appropriate social distancing protocol. Visitors will be provided a mask if they do not have one. Visitors who do not adhere to the rules will be asked to leave.
  • For requests of more than ONE visitor per resident, please indicate that detail when scheduling your visit so we may accommodate the request. 
  • Absolutely NO FOOD OR DRINK can be consumed at the visit. Visitors may bring food, groceries etc. but it will be brought to the resident's room for their future consumption. 
  • Anyone not feeling well should postpone or cancel their visit.
  • Hours of visitation: Daily from 10am-7pm
  • All visitations (including IN-ROOM) will be booked on Facebook. If you go to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GrandeVilleSLC) you will see the option to book an appointment at the top of the page. Just a note about booking appointments - PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND THE NAME OF THE RESIDENT YOU WILL BE VISITING.
  • End-of-life visitation will be permitted when visitation, is not otherwise permitted in accordance with NYSDOH current visitation guidance.
  • If there is a halt in visitation and/or a declared public health emergency, the designated “Personal Care Visitor” (PCV) or “Compassionate Care Visitor” (CCV) will be contacted by a facility representative with current visitation guidance.
  • All visitation areas and applicable resident rooms will be properly sanitized as directed by NYSDOH.
  • In the event the facility has any new staff or resident COVID-19 cases, the facility may be directed by county and/or state officials to temporarily cease visitation.
  • Copies of GrandeVille's visitation guidelines are available at the reception desk.
